This eight week course totals 192 clock hours which will provide the student with the skills and knowledge to perform as a Dialysis Technician. Our Dialysis Technician program provides students with the opportunity to study principles of dialysis, anatomy and physiology of the kidney, fluid and electrolyte balance, hematologic aspects, infectious diseases, dialysis systems and equipment, vascular access to circulation, dietary regulation, blood chemistries, complications of renal failure, psychosocial aspects and an overview of peritoneal dialysis and renal transplantation. Upon successful meeting of all requirements, student will be issued a certificate of completion. Student will be able to obtain state certification upon successful completion of the program. Certification is obtained through NNCC.
